The Alan David Lyke Memorial Scholarship was established to honor the memory of Alan David Lyke by supporting students who demonstrate academic achievement, financial need, community involvement, and resilience in overcoming personal hardships.

This scholarship aims to empower deserving students to pursue higher education and achieve their career aspirations.

Scholarship Amount: $1,000

To be eligible for the Alan David Lyke Memorial Scholarship, applicants must:

Create an account with David's Circle (select "Log In" at the top of the page and follow the prompt)
Be currently enrolled or accepted into a 4-year college or university.
Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
Must demonstrate resilience through personal hardship, showcasing the ability to overcome challenges and persist in the pursuit of education.
Must have applied for FAFSA and demonstrate financial hardship.
Must have a proven record of community service or extracurricular activities

Application Process:

Complete the Online Application Form: Fill out the required details and upload necessary documents.
Submit a Personal Statement: (500-750 words) Discuss your personal journey, academic goals, career plans, and how this scholarship will impact your journey.
Upload Unofficial Transcripts: Submit your most recent high school or college transcripts.
FAFSA Confirmation: Provide evidence of your FAFSA application and financial need (SAR report)

All application materials must be submitted by September 29th, 2024. (Recipients will be selected based on academic achievement, financial need, community involvement, and the strength of their personal statement. The selection committee will notify winners by October 15th, 2024)
